Amazon have gone down in my estimation since they started allowing any old Tom, Dick and Harry to peddle stuff using their online store, name and reputation as a façade.

It seems they don't care about the content as long as they get their cut.

Hopefully this will give them their comeuppance. Just in time for Christmas too.

Kevin

A lot of companys are doing the same, Play.com for examaple are allowing s/h stuff to be traded

If I had my way Ebay would still be an auction site with a differect site for them to allow new/repeat items to be sold.

I just think they get greedy, let the customers trade how they want and the rules get relaxed and there ends up with an amazon situation.   :-/

Also.. Bear in mind that, if you purchase an item through Amazon, but the supplier is a 3rd party you may lose your protection under section 75 of the consumer credit act.

However it was advocating something very illegal.

How to make bombs - not offensive
All the sex books - as long as not dangerous like kiddy fiddling - who cares

Personally I would like to see peodos rounded up and shot

Generally illegal, though, I imagine (to reference your first sentence).. and can be used to kill people so, should it be banned?

Not that I'm defending pedophiles - far from it, of course, but as I see it when you start censoring things it's the thin end of a wedge that ends with burning any books determined 'counter to public morality' or some such verbiage.

It's the right to free speech, thing - something that people exercise every day on here to air some views that I, personally, find quite revolting at times - but it's their right to air them, and I'm not going to object and try to censor them.

Like a lot of people I'll let most stuff go but advising kiddy fiddlers how to do it crosses the line.

I am not on about teenagers together but traditional kiddly fiddlers.

But one problem is when they are caught in a company, usually they do not call the Police, usually they are sacked - companies do not want the adverse publicity.

Only court case I have heard of was from a solicitor.

HOWEVER I think the cartoon porn laws are ridiculous - collectors of Japanese comics can be put on sex charges.

Sorry, I think I snuck an edit in there while you were writing your reply  :-[

The porn laws are ridiculous indeed - just look at Australia, who've banned any pictures depicting 'small breasts' as perverse..

Kiddly fiddling is just about the only thing I would deal with.

And only real pictures and things like the advice.

Would I boycott for selling porn mags no, but kiddy fiddling is the line not to be crossed.

I think 99.9% of parents are the same

I know - then there is the Hentai ban, the tentacle porn ban ect ect - they are just comics!

Basically any real prepubescent child is not classable as a sexual fetish, hence why I think they should be shot.

I am pretty tolerant of stuff, but I think you understand why people want it stopped.

BTW Proper literature - no problem to me
