The acting was very poor ....even worse than the other soaps.. :o ;)

Crossroads... that  still makes me smile as I can still hear  the old man shout out to the oldlady that it was about to start ..... thankgoddness tea was already made  so we didnt have to endure it ;) ;D

Crossroads was a proper soap. Everyone forgot their lines, the set used to move around for no apparent reason. The walls would wobble when someone closed a door and then the door would open again by itself. Hilarious. Later parodied by Victoria Wood iirc. :)
My old mum never missed an episode either.

Remember Miss Diane and Benny ? Benny wandered off to get a spanner one day and never reappeared. ;D ;D

Yes that use to be a good soap and i never missed an episode.....
