Option 2 every time.

....and another disadvantage oh having the LPG tank bolted to the boot floor I suppose, that carpet ain't coming out in a hurry. Something go be said for abbot full of crap as it all wedges itself in and doesn't fly about, so much.  :-/

You pop to the stealers in your 3.2 saloon at lunch time for 20 litres of oil and 5 litres of coolant. Chuck same in the boot along with the shovel that's a remnant of the recent snowy weather.

You come to pull out of the stealers' car park. It's a busy road and you need to turn right. You spot a gap between an approaching car to your left and one that's just passed from the right.

Do you:

1) Be patient. There'll be a larger gap soon.
2) Unleash everything the V6 has got to give and then wonder what the "thud" and subsequent smell of antifreeze emanating from the boot was all about.

 >:(

Kevin

in my case it would be the other motor smacking you in the arse splitting his rad due to the crappy traction control cutting the engine power for a fortnight. ::)

Oh bugger, It could have been worse though like the half gallon of cream that went walk about in the boot of one of my previous motors. It ran into every nook and cranny possible and then solidified :o.  No matter how hard I tryed to remove it I ended up driving round in what smelt like a cheese factory on wheels. The car had to go after that as much as I like cheese the stink made me baulk!

should have bought a 4 pot  ;D

1) You would never have made the gap, so you have to be patient
2) Acceleration is rather gentle with 4 pots, which reduces any spillages

3) I wouldn't have been buying oil and coolant for it anyway, as its' demise would have been a perfect excuse to fit a real engine. ;)

Well, funnily enough I was wondering if I'd have to fit something to my rear-view mirror to counter the smell of the antifreeze. :-X

Doesn't seem to bad today though. :y

It's when you realise what you've done and brake sharply only for it to hit the other end. ;D ;D

Many years ago, I bought an Air Compressor (Just the pump part) from ebay, Thought it looked like a good size compressor for the DIY jobs at home (The fact it used to be powered by a MASSIVE 3 phase motor didn’t ring any alarm bells!)...

I wasn't old enough to drive at the time so got my grans friend to pick it up with me.

Anyway, when I saw it in the flesh, it was a LOT bigger than I thought it would be (Size wise, Its bigger than a 1.0 corsa engine I would think).

Next problem was fitting it in the boot (Saloon Nissan Sunny).

The only way it would go in was sideways, sitting on its belt pulley. (ie shaft was vertical)...

10 miles later (and lots of twisty country roads), we arrive back home. Open the boot and  :-X :-X :-X

My god! Oil was EVERYWHERE. Black oil too!

I was told that the seller had drained all the oil out of it... quite clearly he hadn’t!

Anyway, I spent a couple of hrs with old rags, kitchen roll etc etc cleaning it up the best I could!

Good news is that the monster compressor is rigged up in the garage at home, and works perfectly! :y

Fairly quite too - Guessing it runs at about 150-200 rpm(must check one day)
