Guy, did you see that Series I towing a truck (oncoming at 1.59)? :y

He was a bit 'handy' with his horn though, wasn`t he! :o

Heh the Police car who 'appears to be in a bit of a hurry' made me chuckle (complete with puff of blue smoke from the rings) ..

These days it'd be doing three figures if he was in a hurry - that looked 'out for a sunday drive' by todays standards..

What a wonderful piece of film Guy! :-* :-* :y :y :y

Talk about a motoring jouney through my childhood, and all the models and makes of cars, let alone lorries and at least one coach, that brought it all back.  Even saw at least 3 A40's! :D :D :D :D  Absolutely great!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

the only car on the road able to make national speed limits?

no wonder there was so many sweeney style blags using the tranny with roads as clear as them and no flying choppers.

nice to see clean streets with no graffitti and mccrap packaging blowing everwhere.

good quality video i reckon for the year, must have filled the back seat!

was the herald driver part of the team as one comment suggested?

excellent find and the only one i have watched all the way through for a while.

Made me laugh at the bit were there could have been a possible case for  road rage  instead he just backed off a bit with the phrase " Im not going to get sucked in by his antics".... he should have chased after him and decked  the pratt  ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

IAM style of driving not  changed much.
Not sure if therefore it needs to be updated to include defensive driving considering the state of driving today.

Re considering cleanless of todays roads, if Singapore governmen attitude towards car ownership and usage plus reaction towards litter and graffiti, was adopted, the state of todays rd would not be like what it is now.

call me old fashioned but there it is.

Great bit of filming though, reminded me of shool days  wish I could relive  those again. :y :y :y

Very nostalgic clip.  I think I saw four Crestas and that was without trying.  Far more Consuls I know, but I didn't realise they were so popular.

As for the "lane 2 hog" I didn't know they were that old.  I thought it was a far more modern invention; along with the "signal not in the Highway Code". ;D ;D

I recognised some of the town centres on there. Newbury, Hungerford and Marlborough are still pretty much the same, just the shop names have changed.

And, in Newbury's case, a few million tonnes of concrete have been poured into the surrounding area, mostly by Vodafone. ;)
