Interestingly, it is a woman Tory MP who is behind this. Does this demonstrate that -
1.The Tory party is now a nice shade of lefty, EU friendly Pink, rather than that nasty Blue ?
2.That this is yet another EU conspiracy to conquer us Brits ?
3. The fairer sex shouldnt get involved in complicated matters like politics, but stick to what they are good at - staying at home cooking and looking after babies, while men sort out the issues which their larger brains are capable of understanding ?

Oh dear. Another thread with the "hate Europe and blame anything on some faceless folk in Brussels" gone wrong. Seems quiet since the instigators nearer home were outed!

On a personal note I loath the fact that Britain is an hour behind Spain. Folk ring us just when we are eating or just going to bed. Sorry forgot you were an hour infront. Worse, when we are watching English TV(via Sky hrumm) everything good starts so damn late!

So personally, I can't wait for Engkland to adopt CET.

The ironic thing is that Spain is saddled with its time apparently because Franco liked Hitler so much he said we will be on German time. No one has had the balls since to put them back on the proper time!!!

Britain isn't behind Spain. As said, the World's time centres around GMT, so Spain is an hour in front of Britain ie GMT +1hour  ;)  ;)  ;)

Mr Z. Keep ripping into any EU excesses you can find. They need exposing. In the meantime I will keep exposing the monumental waste in defence (Nimrod cancellation £3.9BILLION). Lets get our own house in order too.
