I don't think its any more dangerous than having speakers and a mic in a helmet.

You mean speakers and mic that were purpose designed for helmets, and designed in such a way that no glues or tape is used? 

Exactly my point they can easy fly around inside helmet, everytime I took my helmet off, those speakers for the Bike to Bike kit fell out. Not to mention choking on a microphone thats already half way down throat...

All of the more expensive and 'proper' camera mounts just have a click system for the camera to mount, they are still attached to helmet with velcro. 3M Dual Lock is method of choice, its non-corrosive

Not when fitted properly, rather than tunnie bodged .  You never saw me struggling with mine

The only way you can be sure is to contact the helmet manufacturer and ask them if you can use this specific 3M adhesive backed velcro...   ...and I'll put a gonad on the reply
