latop big prob

everyting froze. had to disconect lead and battery to switch off.switched on. keypad an mouse not workin. wont respond to nothing,ccant put into safe mode or any other keys. any ideas please. cant even re format as no keys working

when you (if) start up can you see any bios message or the screen frozen and shows (a) blank or (b) something ?

will it take a usb/conventional mouse?

is there a button which disables touch pad?

if Synaptics touch pad you get to it via f2 on boot up to enable/disable

no usb working. it starts as normal but nothing functions at all.

how old is it, is all info backed up? what operating system?

do you have a recovery disk? - seems as though most of the drivers have gone AWOL.

4years old. few things gone wrong lately. disc drive 2usb ports and been gettin slow. and to top it all this medication is making me impotent.  :(
