Reminiscing - Chocolate Bars
« on: 10 March 2011, 13:52:14 »

Chatting away the other day and got talking about sweets as a child, in particular, chocolate bars.

I just happend to mention Bar Six and the conversation went on for about an hour.  But the one I was trying to remember was in a pale blue metalic wrapper, and I think was called somesing like Icebreaker and had mint cracknel init.  (any one got any idea of its proper name?)

Others were

Caramac
Mars bar
Lion Bar
Nesle Brunch
Kit Kat

Galaxy
Fruit and Nut Bars
Toblerone
Wall Nut Whip (Allthough not really a bar)
Milky Bar
Marathan/Snickers
Yorkie
Whispa
Milky Way
Turkish Delight
Aero

Bounty
Crunchie
Dime Bar
Double Decker
Dream Bar
Flake
Fudge Flake
Frys Orange/Pepermint Cream
Bueno
Kinder
Hippo
Picnic
Ritter Sport
Ruffle
Topic
Star Bar
Toffe Crisp
Twix
Twirl

Yellow highlighed are a few of the ones I used to like.

just realised how old I am now   :( :( :( :( :(

It was launched in 1969 ( although some web sites state 1967) by Cadbury's, at great expense, in an attempt to take on the Mars Bar.  It was very sickly and just did not reach expectations with it being prematurly withdrawn within about 8 years if I remember correctly ;) ;)
