Well we first had the Egyptian 'revolution', we had Libya boil over and is still causing major international concern, then the Japanese disaster, with a growing nuclear emergency.

Well now we have Bahrain, already inflamed with rebelion, go critical today with Saudi Arabia sending 1000 troops into Bahrain albeit at the request of their government, but with now threats from the opposition over the "foreign" troops entering their country!  The various factions of the Islamic world are now facing each other, with certain commenters stating this is a very dangerous situation, only kept from the headlines by what else is already is going on internationally!

Talk (I hope pure scare mongering!! ::) ::)) by the "experts" is raising the prospect of Iran getting involved against the Saudis!  God help us if this really is a prospect!! :o :o :o :o :o

As we have said before the Middle East is a very complicated and complex issue which I certainly would not like to claim any authority on.  But I must say it all rather worries me :o :o :o  I recall in my childhood it was said, backed up by the Bible and Nostradamus that the end of the world would start and finish in the Middle East!! :o :o :o

Sorry, but that is pure scaremongering, but at times it does make me think!

I cannot remember so much going on internationally at one time during my life time!  Only 1939 could rank in the same scary magnitude to what is going on, and YES that WAS before my time!! ::) ::) ::) :P :P ;D ;D ;D

PS The Cuban Missle Crisis in 1962 was scary, but it was just one incident ;)

Looking at your picture sweetheart, not by much..... ;)

Brave, foolish or naive?.......in 24 hours history will inform us........... :-X :-X

I'll let everyone choose, but EMU is certainly pushing it Mike!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

His card is marked! :D :D :D :D :D :P :P ;)

i think we should look at where in the world a minority rules the majority - its never a stable situation in Bahrains case the minority Sunni royal family rule over a population that is overwhelmingly Shia, thats been a cauldron waiting to boil over for centuries, never mind the last few weeks.

Saudi and UAE leaders rushing to bring troops to help maintain the status quo are acting out of fear for their well heeled asses - i fear Liz, if Iran decides to give the Bahrain freedom fighters a helping hand the whole region could go up  :(

whats also fascinating is the western calls for the "brutal regime" to end, calls for a "no-fly zone" over the country, decrying the use of foreign forces to oppress the people.............no.....wait, no one says that about Bahrain - what makes it so different from Libya then??  :o
It doesn't have an F1 Grand Prix ? :)

;D ;D ;D ;D  Thanks to everyone's concern on this, but really that member is not worth the bother.  He has been trying to wind up me and others, although seemingly a fairly new addition to our club!  Best to ignore as you do with that type! ::) ::) ::) ::)

this is the semi-serious problem with the "joke" removal of post-counts.
us newbies really don't know if a low-post count member is actually a long-standing regular.
particularly when avatars + nicknames are changed at the same time.
me personally, I'm sometimes not sure if I'm missing a joke, or someone's being an a**ehole

I don't think this is the case here, there are only a couple of members with low post counts but have their, almost real username..... :)

I did wonder if this was someone from the past though.......... :-/ :-/
