having brought it up on VXON, the admins have said that the password hasnt been given to them by VX yet but that it WILL be available.
They've only been given the trade access in the last few weeks, so its early stages.

But it is coming....
PMSL. Words do fail...

I wonder if this will be anything like the TC cards promised 5 or more years ago to paid members (that are only turning up now).  >:(

Its clearly nothing like that.....
I have the trade number and i can call or walk into a dealership anytime and use it.......

You're all jaded from previous experience of course
Do you have a card of some description with the TC number on it? If not, you might find many dealers will laugh. Getting them to take a genuine, trade based TC card can often be a challenge.

Good luck with it :y

Yes its in the membership pack for all new members, and anyone who had paid before the VX Trade Card was done will have to send in a SAE to VXON and then it wil be sent to them

People have suggested on VXON that until the online access is ready, go to a TC Dealer and pick up a TC catalog with all parts prices....

Do these exist? lol

Cheeky tinkers, they've been pocketing the money for the last 5+ years, at least 3 of those promising full TC access - least they could do is stump up the bloody postage. Its not the money bit, its them making their members jump through the hoops.

Still, good news on the card

The end of the day mr o-meg-a you won't get any joy on here when mentioning VxON

History lesson, this place stated after an argument with the then VxON staff.

The fact the management has changed, the fact they had Halfords trade cards (which many members on here have/had), the fact they didn't sell the membership on having TC will always be ignored.

Even the ONLY officially recognised Vauxhall forum VxDC (or VXLSCC as it was or VPCC as it started) took 14 months to get TC, its hardly suprising it takes everyone else - Vectra-C.com for one - a long while to get it.

VxDC, Vectra-C.com and as far as i'm aware Migweb don't have direct trade club website access, so it appears ABS is the exception not the rule

As TC is OPTIONAL dealers don't have to offer it, you can have any number of TC account numbers they still might not accept it.

My experience, go in mention trade club and they pick one off the system to save having to set up a new one

If i were you i'd give it up and move on, and use the knowledge of the poeple here with fixing your Omega when it goes wrong, and it will, and never mention VxON again

I don't have a trade card, however when I go into my local VX place they know me, and give me trade prices anyway.

If you cultivate them, always go to one place, they will soon recognise this and prices will drop.

Hutchings VX, Nantgarw Industrial estate.
They will have the VXON account on file now.

Thats not entirely correct. For the first 2.5yrs (at least) they did claim that TC cards were part of the offer, always promising that the cards would 'come soon'. I would say that was fraudulent, as they knew damn well the time it takes to get them. Or they are very stupid. Jury's still out on that one.

I really couldn't give a rats arse who joins VxON, or what VxON get up to. I really do not care. My recommendation for TC will continue to be ABS, who have an honest, dedicated commitee, and slick operation. This will not change until such time they start messing people around.

Tradeclub prices are better than Trade prices on Tradeclub items (mostly service related items)

I too have found this to be the case. Also I no longer have to pre pay for special order parts either. Genuine parts often end up cheaper than Factor items. ie Aircon condenser vx £210 plus vat, factor £250 plus vat. A £50 saving. Which is nice  ;D

As well as the Omega, we run 3 Vectras, only one of which is still in warranty. After the Parts counter, I have more contact with the Sales staff than the Service peeps. :D
