I do like the new line up with DC, that useless idiot Legard used to annoy me.

"Look someone lost their front Wing"

- Brundle Corrects - "Rear Wing"

"Well anyway its a wing!"

- Brundle *sigh*

Actually I didn't find this one anywhere near as enthralling as the Turkish GP before it for some reason.. maybe it's because I wasn't paying as much attention to it - I don't remember any overtaking even  :-[

Well Alonso overtook 3 cars to the first corner, Schumi had a similar first lap.  :P

There was plenty more overtakes during the race, most importantly by Vettel behind a train of cars to keep his strategy on track for the win.  Button made a few passes too including an excellent one round the outside of Webber.

Sure there wasn't anything like the amount of overtakes in Turkey, but that was OTT.  Turkey has a great track layout for overtaking unlike Spain, Turkey's track layout in combination with DRS meant who ever was following was guaranteed to overtake pretty much - too easy.  Would have been much better without DRS.

Spain is past years has averaged something stupid like 3 overtakes in a whole race, so it's a vast improvement.

Ah yes - I wasn't counting the first lap (you're guaranteed to get someone going past someone on the first corner at just about every track) :) And I must have tuned out so much that I missed all of the rest of the action.. :-[

Yes, I enjoyed the race too.

Bitiffy when a car that doesn't do much qualifying has loads of good tyres to go at as a result. How long before drivers deliberately sit out qualy in order to improve their race chances?

Undercut. I would swear this is a word that has been invented for this season - maybe by DC. Each race he uses it and starts explaining it only to forget to complete the explanation (Pit radio or crash). I think I might start using it in everyday conversation. e.g. These underpants undercut, this ham salad is a bit undercut, look at him returning from the pub - he looks undercut and so on. ;D ;D

Undercut has been the term used in the sport for a long time, just Legard/Walker often weren't aware of it I imagine.  You even heard Christian Horner using the term undercut when referring to Vettel's strategy to get ahead of Alonso this weekend.

The other reason you'll notice them referring to the undercut this season more than any recent ones are down again to the tyres.  As the Pirelli tyres have much better pace when new compared to old anyone who pits first will gain by benefiting from an out lap where they can gain time on the opposition.  This hasn't happened in previous years where Bridgestone manufactured tyres with no significant drop off and lasted nearly a whole race on one set.  Hope that makes sense.

Was a good race, Button made a good recovery  :)

Glad that idiot Alonso finished back down the field  :D

Yep, Button cocked his start up with too much wheelspin but done well to recover from 10th to 3rd - a combination of good strategy and good driving. :y

I don't hold a lot of love for Alonso either but he's a damn good gutsy driver sometimes.

Agree that Alonso is a bit of a thingy and a cry-baby, but have renewed respect for his abilities after yesterday - that lunge from 4th to 1st for the first corner was an awesome piece of bravery and driver skill.

or desperation :D
