Long gone are the days of just 3 channels, BBC 1 & 2 and ITV.
It's now quantity rather than quality....
I was just talking to my two young kids about this the other day, they find it strange that there could only have been 3 channels and not the huge choice of programmes available at the press of a button now - most of which is complete and utter shite, by the way

We are a bit short of money at the moment, so I've decided to ditch the £50-a-month Sky subscription and buy a Freesat box instead. I've always resented having to pay extra money for telly when I already pay a licence fee, and I feel that my kids need to be out doing other things rather than watching the same things over and over, so I've got a couple of weeks left of Sky and it's quids in.
Despite there being hundreds of channels on Sky, there have been many, many times when I've sat there flicking through trying to find something interesting I haven't seen and given up because it's all rubbish - and I'm paying £50 a month for that!
I'm giving Freesat a go. Not so much choice, but in that case I should get something else to do in the evenings anyway
