The boy did well.

A Mclaren  1 2 would have been even better.  :y

I LOVE damp races. The real drivers shine out. There were some impressive drives too.

break me, that was one of the best races yet, despite the 2 hour "interlude"! :y Had us on the edges of our seats for the last half hour. Good to see that Vettel is susceptible to a bit of pressure after all, and JB proves yet again what a class driver he really is, particularly in damp conditions. People who were writing Button off since the arrival of Hamilton might just have to think again. ::) This season just continue's to impress in terms of racing action and drama thanks to the change in regs and with Pirelli tyres. :y

I disagree. I would prefer to say he has the potential to be one of the best if he had any desire to win...

So after visiting the pits 6 times in once race and being plum last, he suddenly had a desire to win the race?

Ok..

The guy is talented. No doubt. But that talent is rarely realised, as he is always happy to sit behind another driver, lap after lap after lap. He is too cautious.  Maybe Hamilton isn't cautious enough, but Button is too much of a pussy.

I suspect, dead last, he did decide to throw caution to the wind. Once he got the confidence, look at him go :y

In his long career in F1, this is only the 2nd race where I've been impressed with his performance.  Look how long it took him to get a win.  His F1 WC year was only won due to the Brawn being so very much better than everything else in the first half of that season.

The other person who really impressed me yesterday was Schumacher, though nobody can deny his talents. Love him or hate him (and there is no in between it seems), he has a raw talent that others lack, and is always exciting to watch.

Shame Di Resta broke down, as he was goign well at one point.

While some of us agree to disagree on the merits of Button, Schumi etc., no one has mentioned the driver that's really outstanding at the moment - current world champion Vettel. He may have been a little raw at first and I know he now has the best car on the grid, but he's now driving like a real master (remind you of anyone? ::)). Love or hate him, the guy has genuine talent and desire. :y
