Sorry the news isnt as good as it could be....but at least your another step closer.

Not all bad... I have a "Pars Defect". It may well not be causing any problems so we'll just wait in see

Not in as much pain as I was expecting this morning, which is good, and not planning to go much further than the bathroom, kitchen and the sofa today. Going to do as little as possible  for a few days to try and get on my feet as quickly as possible

You obviously had some sort of defect, we just never knew exactly which type.

Bit of an update... I'm beginning to feel much better now This morning I woke up in about the same pain as I have been for the last 7 months so I'm hoping that I'm at least back to the position I was in Wednesday morning before the surgeon got his hands on me!
