Yea, saw him coming up at a few leptons too many but I didn't want to switch off the cruise so took my OT.  No rush or problem but it woke him up a bit.  Pity I didn't see the patrol car at the same time but they were waaaaay back (doing their job the correct way)and mi'laddo must have been on a long vascar check.  Reckon he was the 120 plus range......  ;D

ps - glad you remembered the front foglights....  You missed the hint as we went onto the first dual stretch - was dancing a fandango on the brake, the lights and the rear fogs but you still didn't catch on.   ;D


i did see it behind and was gonna flash but knew you were doing similar to me......i wondered why you were braking etc etc then when i looked down and saw i had left them on from photoshoot ...... :-[

Well the reason was if i had a passenger.......i was going the long way round  ;D

Real reason I overtook Mark twice....yes a 4 pot getting passed a V6 (and I know Mark was trying hard  ;D ) was 2 pit stops for LPG  ;) Got home at 4pm....so about 4 hours for 260ish miles with 2 stops isnt bad  :) Better than the 5 1/2 it took me to get there!

Got back about half an hour ago, had to take the kids to Maccy D's first, anything for a quiet life, better go and empty the car now :-/

Got back 4:15, so 3hr45 for me.

Did over 650 miles, so had to stop for fuel.  Wynose and Hardknott did have a hit on my fuel economy. My top tip for anyone doing the passes when on hols is to let the air back out of the tyres (you did pump them up before carrying heavy load, didn't you ;)), as mine is a little skittish with 45 psi in the rears ::)

Fabulous weekend, nice to see the familiar faces, and brilliant to meet some new faces - but old friends - at last.


Thanks to Chopsdad for arranging the site, and thanks to Timbuk/EP/BoBo for coming up with the idea :y

Left at about 1:05 got back home at 3:40. Clocked up 317 miles....

left around 12:45 ish i think, can't really remember. Got back just after 5, but i made 2 stops, one for body fuel, the other for propper fuel.

Fuel light began blinking towards the end of the M42, so that was 470 miles to the tank....

Had an excellent run back, meet Kevin Wood on the way back.... (btw sorry i did not wave as you went past kev, Last time i looked you were there, then you shot past!)

Also got a nod from a guy in a F reg White Monza... had a nice little jolly to 3 figures with him. And he won big style!

Great weekend, really had a nice time and meet some great people. Thanks to chopsdad for picking the site, great location and thanks for the mats and flaps, the mats are already in and look great  :y

Not looking forward to the football photo's!  ;D

...the emarrassing thing was, AA, despite being retired, is fitter than us ;D

How old is she?

Well fed is definately the term this weekend.....last night she had at least half of AA's lamb dinner (dont think he wanted to leave it on his plate so he fed it to Holly under the table  ::)) at the B&B...and there was loads of lamb on the plates.....plus sausages/burgers/etc whatever she scrounged at the campsite.

Shes 5 (35 is human years) now.....but acts like a 1 yo....

Shes now had her dinner, pestered me for it (typical lab  ::))....and i can definately say i wont hear a peep outa her until the morning now....coz she now in snooze mode  ;D

you left around 12. yet I left a good half hour later, and got home 45mins before  :o

I had a 15 min stop around Jc 15 on the M6... was hungry! cruised at 80 down to there, then it was about 60/70ish after that, was much busier, when i noticed the fuel going down too fast, I sat behind a truck for about an hour. Then had another stop this time for fuel, had to TomTom one off in Shirley. That took another 10 mins.

I did not use the M6 toll either so that made it slower. I was in no hurry.....
