Fitting a 3.o exhaust to a 2.5 engine.
« on: 29 July 2009, 14:15:06 »

More just curious than something l plan.
But l remember we used to fit the exhausts from larger engines into our escorts, fiastas and capris.
2.0 exhaust to 1.6's and 1.6 exhausts to 1.1 1nd 1.3's.
l have many fond memories of breakers yards. Seemed to spend every weekend there.
We also fitted the bigger carbs to.
l recall that the cars did seem to go better and quicker.

It will fit and give you a twin exit tailpipe.....no real performance benefits.

I did just this last year thanks to a s/h unit from Timbuk.  :y Went on easy peasy, with some grunting and shoving of course  ;)

Indeed I like the look of the twin pipe and the noise is nice now, but I can't really compare to the old one as that was a stainless 4" rat catcher that the kid owner before me put on. It were orrible!

As for performance, seeing as the system is the same until the back box I imagine it's the same!

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!
