So ...... this tree just appeared from nowhere?!?!  :-X  :-X  :-X
I did the same last year, but fortunately just caught the rear bumper and had to replace the chrome/stainless trim (pre-facelift)  :'( :'(

Yeah :D Just didn`t see the damm thing! I was seeing how close some other stuff laying at the foot of the fence was in my wing mirror as i reversed. :-[

There was someone on ebay selling brand new estate tailgates, bare, in primer for £25-£30 a short while ago.  May be worth searching ;)

The root cause of the problem maybe that you were disracted. Clearly this leaves you with no option to get it fixed.

Maybe you were just barking up the wrong tree.
