I'm seeing plenty on the roads every day so we can establish they're selling well. However talking to folk & reading bits & bobs it seems they're being compared to the Vectra, (yuk, sorry don't like 'em!") So.....
  Are they marketed as the Omega replacement?

  Are they miggy or Veccy size/weight?

  What engines do they come with?

  Are they RWD?

  Are they any good generally?

  If they are & many of us are runnung them in years to come will we be "IFFERS"? ::) :-/

Vx sent me a booklet yesterday on the car.looks nice but no enough choice of interior colour scheme it's either magnolia or black.nice magnolia or tan (whatever you want to call the shade) dash.I ask the sealer if i could have perforated black leather and black dash on a middle of the range car but was told it would be a long wait and it would be cheaper to go up the range instead.When i informed him i do approx 50k-60k miles a year he looked a bit worried.basic model from around 19 and half,off to see the Chrysler c300 diesel tomorrow same monies better spec plus free built in tv screens x3.oh and gangster looks    8-)

just run a vectra for 4 weeks and sold it in disgust.
basically i'll never buy another vauxhall unless it is an omega

So it's a placcy fwd shed like the veccy. At least i know now.
    Looks like the Mig was or is Vauxhalls last proper rwd car...Monaro? :o 8-)

Hi Andy. Lost the will to live within one minute of that clip....terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired!!! No Omega replacement then.
    Too much time spent fitting pointless gizmos that will go wrong & cost big bucks instead of designing a decent replacement car.  Shame. :(

 Actually its not an Omega replacement..

some people in job have them.. (1.6 turbo) So I had the chance of looking closer..

Good design, comfy and even 1.6 turbo, impressive for a 1.6..

but the 2.8 turbo versions can keep up with Sti's and EVO'S.. :-?

but of course new models price tag brings very good alternatives in other brands in second hand..

still second hands are very hard to find here.. but I think in time it will be in logical price range after some years..

No Mig replacement then. I like the look of the big Chrysler but have heard the handling is somewhat primitive so could'nt drive it like i do the Beastie. Monaros are'nt mainstream so prices could remain high, so much as i'd love one probably not. I fun an11 yr old car now which is as fit as a fiddle, so on that premise i could run an equally good facelift in 10 yrs time. By then VX may have come up with another proper, big RWD car.
     If not it'll be the Audi route for me. :y

4WD 2.8V6 Turbo & Faster than a Vectra VXR :y

dont think it will ever keep up with an evo though

Evo's are quick & they handle. Chased a Scooby (well you have to try) the other week, could'nt stay with him till about 90 (still in 3rd) & started creeping up on him.
   He backed off & left @ the next exit. To be fair Scooby's are built for bottom end grunt whereas a good V6 Mig never seems to run out of breath & keeps pulling forever. 8-)

0-60 5.6 seconds..on a race track Evos faster.. but on a normal road with daily traffic nope..
