I do a lot of ebay and sometimes sell for friends-then email them to get it posted. Other friends ebay from home and post from wherever they store the kit. others would rather not have people they do not know turning up at their house-especially if they are at work and wife is at home with baby.
Not sinister-just practical!
Another consideration is many sellers offer products very slightly cheaper than the competition and make it up with the postage cost. But this means that a faulty product only gets the price not postage refunded-clever!
As has been said above, ignore how the price is made up-if they have good feedback and are cheapest, buy it!
It's only a few quid!!

Not life or death

My biggest dislike of ebay buyers is whinging about postage-they never take into account the cost of proper packaging, the time taken to package, the special trip to PO within 40 seconds of checkout, etc... I got 2/5 stars for sending a large parcel which arrived next day, in professional packaging by first class recorded for £3. Bloody typical ebay buyers!!!!
Don't get me started on the new Ebay rules or the fees and Paypal fees....
