Car salesmen!
« on: 23 October 2009, 22:42:11 »

Car salesmen don't you just love 'em.
Went to view a couple of Omegas today. First one went ok and managed to get him down a bit on price, but mileage was a bit high for an 03 plate.
Second one I looked at was ok and low mileage 51 plate, but I was concerned about the rust around one of the rear wheel arches. It also had a collection of knocks and scrapes on the rear bumper but the rest was good.
Anyway the little sh*t of a salesman really wound me up to the point of me not wanting to even part with my money to him. He did offer to sought out the rusty wheel arch for me, but I just walked away. How he manages to sell cars I'll never know, what an arse.
Anyway going back to the first one I looked at tomorrow for a test drive.

What happened Mick?

He was one of those most obnoxious people who as soon as they open their mouth you instantly think, knobhead. He was trying to sell me an Omega which quite obviously had a bad repair done by them to the rusting rear wheel arch. They had filled and painted on top of flaking paint/rust. When I touched that area it simply just fell away in my hand. Then he tried jokingly to say in his way "you'll have to pay for that for us to do it again" It was just a bodge job, a shame really as the rest of the car was ok, apart from a few dinks and scrapes on the rear bumper.

Anyway I've found my car now deposit paid pick it up Nov 2nd a 2.2  03 plate auto in silver.

Cheers
Mick
