right a family relation came down on the off chance and he said he had the same problem on one of his motors so he took out the idle control valve or something to that effect cleaned it and put it back in. Problem fixed.  :y

Yeah, sticky idle valve on K series is the normal cause for eratic idle. All petrol ZRs (and 25s) are K series, and suffer the HG problem due to lack of engine development when under control of the germans.

It would appear that the MLS gasket along with the new ladder does cure the HG issue.


Guess what I need to do on her 25 ::)
