TD section....
« on: 22 October 2009, 23:05:11 »

dont want to pester Admin but there's no other way to bring it up really.

I know the subject of a 2.5 TD section has been discussed before and decided against quite reasonably.

But just want to mention that i've noticed several TD related posts in general help slipping by with no replies. Some get as far as page 3 and i bumped 3 for replies in one day a week or so ago.

Dont want a medal or out, but would TD owners be better served if they had their own section? Their posts would stay at the top of the page longer and would be easier to find by those giving advise...?

I suppose the danger is they may feel a bit left out? Just an observation really. :-)

I take your point, but it is the same for most of us, if we don't get an answer within a few hours the post has slipped onto the next page, and will never get read. I suppose we are a victim of our own success. Another section would help things by the sound of it.

Thing is, it would open up the gates for a

2.0 8v section
2.0/2.2 section
V6 section
2.5td section
2.2dti section
Omega on LPG section

so on so on....

I think it's best just to post in one place?  :-/

Just have diesel and petrol sections that would be more simple.

Would be a good idea, however I guess you would have to have at least three sections - 'Petrol', 'Diesel' and 'General'. As help on the wishbones for example would be the same for both petrol and diesel, and hence a General section would be needed... :-?

was more a question for diesel owners and weather they would get better service, for want of a better word.
Depends if they feel ignored at the moment i suppose...... If their happy then fine? :-)

Of course in an extreme case Elite owners would have to be at the TOP of the list..... In FIRST place.... Obviously goes without saying. ;D

Personally I have never had any problems on getting help on my TD, there isn't such a wealth of diesel owners on here (in comparison to V6 owners) but the knowledgeable ones out there always come up with an answer.

I think the key to getting any help is putting as much useful information in the post as possible to try and set the scene for someone else to visualise.

Just putting "funny noise from car" wouldn't inspire me to help much regardless of whether it is a Diesel or Petrol. In my opinion.  :y

Apart from TB and OmegaToy, there's not many people that know a vast amount about the diesels.

Well this is it really, especially as TB has not got time to go searching pages 2 and 3, seems to me diesels should have a list of their own to be on page 1 for longer? ? ?
Would make them easier for him to find if nothing else, and there by help Twactor owners better. :-)
