God I love my 2.2
« on: 28 August 2006, 19:49:40 »

After spending most of yesterday helping Jamie with his 2.5V6 project car, replacing the DIS pack, leads and various other bits. Today I did some work on my 2.2 facelift, the brake fluid needed changing so got to work.

Popped the bonnet open (had'nt done a lot on my 2.2 for a while) I was just amazed at the space in bay, you could climb in and have a small party!!

I could reach down and grab the oil filter, reach back behind the engine soooo much space. Looked down, ah yes there is the exhaust manifold, reach down and touch that with nothing in my way!!

Replaced the brake fluid (maintaince guide up soon) - Big Big Differnce!

Like to say big thanks to TheBoy for comming over and checking out my brake discs and pads.... some twit of a last owner put the wrong pads on and  caused the discs to ware unevenly. - There is loads of ware left on the pad, and since my millage will be nothing soon we decided to leave it until the Pads had worn down.

Took my 2.2 for a blast up the local roads.... still brought a smile to my face. Active Sub in the boot pumping out the base, and in manual form the 2.2 does't have shift 40-90  :)

All in all good day   :D

Man and motor in perfect harmony.  What a heart warming story!  (Good ol' four pots).

When those pads are worn, we'll do a complete disc/pad change on it :)

Have to say i really did like that, for an engine with 130k miles it really is sweet... and FAST!! - Makes a better sound too

Have to say though i prefer the facelift looks, even with its huge bumper compared to pre-facelift...

Cheers Tunnie  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I prefer back end of facelift, sort of prefer some aspects of interior, but not convinced by front end...

I know what you mean, they did't do the best job with the front, but i am begining to really like the looks now.

Styling is subjective and personal. Just as well we're all different, else we'd all be driving boring Corollas...
