With work getting busy , and my omega being misserable on fuel I have bought this Combo van

Its an old girl but has good history and only 84000 miles on the clock .

Problem is I drove it home from shrewsbury to telford ( about 20 miles) and its fine , Been driving great and doing 50 mpg.. all good , When I t cut it yesterday I realized that the cooling fan was not plugged in , Not a problem as it didnt seem to get warm so i plugged it in and now as soon as I put ignition on the fan is always on ....

i also have this wire i cant find a homne for :-(







please can anybody help ??

Most likely a knackered temp sensor in the rad or the wiring has been messed with. Not sure on the odd wire, I could have a look if you're still coming to fetch this towbar?

Yeah .. still need towbar mate ... I had forgot all about it ..lol

I have found a home for the spare wire , but fan is still running all the time , been advised that it could be the tempreture switch one of these I think !

Does anybody have any idea how to test it before I buy one ?

To test, take it out dip end into hot water, read the continuity and impedence between the contacts. Stick it in the freezer for 10 minutes then re-test.

Hot water should have the opposite effect to the freezer. If not then the switch is breaked, if it seems to work then someones messed with the wiring so some tracing to do
