How do you polish a plenum

Seen plenty about. Can only a specialist do it or is it possible DIY. Would like to spruce up some parts on the Senator and Omega

WD40 brings it up nice, but if you want to go down to bare metal, going to need some elbow grease  ;D

Think theres one currently for sale on here still....   Check the parts sale/wanted section...  ;)

if you want shining bare metal, sanding is the solution but will be simpler by a machine of course..

starting with some 320 then 800 and so on will make it shiny..

So how about this: I just saw a polished stainless steel Nissan GTR on the way to work this morning :o Fab it looked, pitty was a Nissan. Guess it was an American plate.

If you want to polish a plenum it takes...........
1 polishing mop kit off ebay - around £20,
some autosol, fiver-ish...
lots of rags,
sanding disc for a drill,
and lots and lots of spare time...
The one that's for sale is mine.
Took me about 4 days polishing to get it into that condition.
I wouldn't do another one, don't get me wrong, it does look good.
But NO, i'd never do another one, after 10 mins, you look like you've been working down the mines  :-[
