thanks for the linky - great to get information from
people who love cars.

would you consider 102,000 miles as high or still ok.
I only do around 6,000 a year so car's millage will
not increase quickly.

thanks

Its only just run in. Get James or Loo Knee on here to do your cambelt and check your rocker cover gaskets and you're good for another 150k.

Worked on one a month ago that had 314,000 miles on it and still going fine.
Keep it serviced well, oil changes regular, breathers clean, anti freeze, cambelt changed at proper intervals should last you for years :y

There are a few guys on here who are very good with LPG....Lazydocker, Kevin Wood & James V6 they maybe able to help.
But as far as I know you just need to make sure you have a good HT side and thats it. Robwig on here is a mate of mine and got 400 miles out of his LPG tank at a cost of £30 odd  :o

I have to admit the lpg sounds a good bet
it would make running a lot cheaper

thanks

Ken,

LPG is worthwhile - a few of us have DIY'd.

The cost isn't worthwhile, if done at a "professional" unless the car has some real value

does the spare wheel go in the boot and if so can
the lpg tank not be fitted there.

I believe you can get a Donut Tank which goes into the spare wheel area, but I would think it would be a far less volume amount. So would be far more trips to the LPG station.....

much reduced range, think donut tanks are 55L, standard torpeado tanks are 80-100L

trouble is with the torpedo tank is if it goes behind the passenger seat it means I cannot use luggage space
cannot fold seats down ect
admittedly shorter range but tomtom is quite good at finds lpg stations and if needed could always use petrol
