I'd say it's probably genuine in light of the trust he's placing in the mechanic :y

If the price is right, and may we ask how much it's advertised for (not the price you've negotiated if you don't want ;)), then go for it but with the extended warranty and everything else in writing (especially the recovery part) :y

The oil cooler story adds up,sounds genuine to me.If he is happy to put his words in writng I see no reason not to buy the car tbh.
He could have saved himself a fair bit of hassle with the job of trying to sell it if he had done a few more flushes though. ;)

About £400 with those details ::) ::) ::)

Seriously though... It's worth whatever you're willing to pay ;) ;)

From a dealer I reckon it's got to be around the £1500 mark as a minimum... Probably closer to £2k :-? :-?

[edit]I reckon it's advertised for £2495, so I'd offer £2k to start[/edit]

Just to add... That doesn't mean I'd pay that much... I wouldn't pay any more than £1500 for it, but I'm tight ::) ;D

Exactly... Dealers normally over price the cars by £500-1500 to leave room for a deal and a nice big profit ;) ;)

Just make sure YOU are totolly happy with both the price and the car......they are the two things that matter......

Anything else is just someones opinion.......
