Name A Better Car??
« on: 28 January 2010, 21:14:39 »

I was just writing on another thread and it got me to thinking.

My Omega is a 2.5TD Elite. 1999/T. It is pretty fast, very economical on a run (50+mpg), has just about every conceivable extra (Sat Nav, Climate, Elec everything inc seats, xenons), would be comfortable (and capable) to do a trip across europe without complaint.

In all honesty, what other car would I be able to buy which could do all that, and for a couple of hundred of pounds under a grand????

Remember, its got to be quick(ish), economical, stacked with goodies and comfortable.

Hadn't thought of that, they are on the trader for that, but they are all L/M/N reg with not much in the way of toys, prefer my Elite.

I know, I know, but I used to have a company 406 HDi Estate. Did 120,000 miles in two years and it never let me down, damn comfortable too. If I could find one of them for peanuts my wifes Audi 80 would be out of the door!!! (Peanuts is less than £200 by the way)

Sounds like you got out of it just in time... The Gearboxes rarely last much more than 130k ::) ::)
