What would anyone reckon to a super charger wacked on top of my v6 there's a few on YouTube and wow I searched it on you tube as I was thinking about doing it doesn't look to. Hard to do and on you tube they reckon 320 bhp I'm only after your views then I'll price the charger up I no for a type r it's 2000 fitted

its been well discused before, general opinion is not to bother. Easier, cheaper to put a V8 in. V6 has cooling issues, which would need to be addressed to get any serious gains in performance.

 but the cooling issuses do u mean on the standard engine or with a supercharger they do look good on YouTube and sound nice
v8 there's a thought wat power we looking at with a v8

cooling the standard V6 lump itself is the issue, quite a few threads on turbo / supercharging, all come to the same conclusion. Given GM themselves almost put the 5.7 V8 in, and there are full specs for it, i'd go that route  :y

Superchargers may well give your car the wow factor,but ive heard all stories about them regarding reliability issues,mainly pullys snapping.Another thing is it really worth spending that on a car thats probably worth half that,been there and done it mate,and never again,put your money to a few nice subtle mods,and make it look the dogs danglies. :y

Yeah I do see what your getting at it's 2.500 well what I've priced so far and a few drinks for my mate to help me fit it all for a kit I cud get another miggy for that I think it's just the wow factor of being one of a few v6 with a supercharger but if they go wrong then that's alot of wonger to have somthing break plus I would love a stainless pipe from the downpipe back maybe even decat it anyone no what the power increase is on a decat and don't worry bout the mot there's away just hope I don't get pulled lol

plus I love my estate at the moement and spent so much allready I think I'm going away from the super charger now unless I can get one cheap
