Longlife Exhaust Price Cut
« on: 15 February 2010, 15:35:51 »

Hi all,
Got an email flyer from Longlife today as I asked them for a quote when I first got the car - Cost of a full cat back stainless system for a 2.6 Omega is now down to £311 (original quote was £389) fully fitted with VAT! In comparison, quotes I had from the robbers were Kwikfit £375 and National £383, and a local garage £315 all for mild steel outfits. Okay, I know that you can get an Eternal for under £150, and can have it fitted for £50-60 quid, but if you planned to hang on to your miggy for a bit or wanted to have the exhaust sound as you wanted, surely it's a pretty competitive deal....? :) :)

If it's a long term  keeper- then  not a bad deal at all :)

Hmm. That does sound tempting.

I did call them to ask if there was a catch... but it would seem it is completely kosha - price the same for all of the V6 models (as it should be) - full welded stainless system with a standard tailpipe & lifetime warranty  :y

I have to say I'm interested in this as I expect my exhaust to die one day as it's rusty as hell in the usual place.

I've looked at the Longlife website as my Omega's a keeper and the price on there is advertise as 'from £299' for a cat back system so how did the first quote of £389 come about?

I filled out the online quotation back in September time for my 2.6, and they emailed me a price for £389 - the £299 price is for a 4-pot. They then offered me 10% off, and i occasionally get emails off them with various discounts on the price, but this is the best by far  :y

Ah yes, should have thought that the from price would mean starting from a 4 pot and working up  :y.
