On the new DVD from Richard Hammond, called "Top Gear uncovered" they crash a perfectly nice CDX 2.5 V6, three times, and then blew it up. It really breaks my heart.

No seriously, I cant see anything wrong with the Omega that it has to be destroyed, I mean, I like Top Gear and their destruction, the Marina Piano running gag is epic.
Hopefully the Omega doesnt become a running gag.

For me personally need to keep some perspective, if I am willing to laugh at them destroying other makes and models of cars, then I got to be prepared to laugh when they destroy one I love...

And lets face it, at least this died a death that has alot of people seeing it.. Not like some idiot ripping it apart of trashing it..

No seriously, I cant see anything wrong with the Omega that it has to be destroyed, .....

It's only a TV programme!     
If you remember they smashed up a maroon coloured Omega ages back in a quarry when they had remote control cars - a 5 series BMW, an Omega and a frog eyed Scorpio IIRC

Do you remember when the Marina Owners club got all irrate about the destruction of a few Marina's? Maybe we should do the same? 
Top Gear is great, and if they want to destroy an Omega...good on 'em. At least it'll bring people's attention to the Omega...and I don't like the pre and mini facelift so don't mind as much.

When I was in the Isle of Wight in August I saw about a dozen Marinas and a couple of Itals parked outside a hotel in Shanklin.  8-)

I was very tempted to tip off the top gear team and dig myself in across the road with a telephoto lens to watch it all kick off.

Most of the stuff they destroy are just shells from scrappies anyway, you see the car intact for what ?? 2 seconds if that ?? it only needs to give the impression of being a good car..... who knows what state the "other side" was in

Well sure, but so do the prices for spare parts, and Omegas will have faults.

Imagine you have a cracked manifold (...again...) and original 2nd hand manifolds are too expensive, you'll gonna have to buy some chinese aftermarket bullsh*t, which cracks immediatly if you start the engine.

Or the gloveboxhandle broke ...again... and you wont find one that has not beeing molten by fire.

These were in better nick than when the disinterested muppets and Cowley had finished with them. Anal levels of polishing (guess it's more fun than driving them ).
