All correct apart from the power bit - HIDs are low power (<30W per side).

I was under the impression the HID system ran at a very high current, I remember posts indicating it was dangerous to attempt repairs on the HID system, because it had enough power to kill a man?  :-/

Or am I going crazy?  

High voltage. Low current.

Good job i have a degree in Multimedia Technology and not electrics    

And exactly what kind of subject is that then.  Didn't fancy doing a real subject?
