radiator flush..
« on: 09 April 2010, 18:49:18 »

today as I was off , I planned to flush my radiator with some chemicals..

10:30 am I was at the mechanics shop..waited for 2 hrs for the engine to cool down..

as he was busy I did some of the dismantling..
maf.. intake ducts out..nothing broken :)

initial plan was to remove the radiator .. but when I discovered extra job was necessary , I give up :P  and decided to clean in situ ;D

anyway blocked the lower and upper side pipe with some funny materials (driver)..

got 2 bottles of lime solver.. mixed half with water , into the rad.. top up until its full.. wait 10 minutes..

then cleaning.. we repetaed for another 10 minutes..  after the second application, the particles coming was was unbeliavable :o :o

nearly washed for 15 minutes leaving a nice water bill for the friend ;D   but his oily floors are shining now ;D

result, the fans now kick in after a long time.. :-?
