Dunno about the Omega ( :-X ) but had a 24valve Senator upto 164 on a calibrated speedo......

.... and there were still more than 500 revs to go in fifth!   ;D

Haven't I always said that Senators were superior to Omegas  ::)  ::)  ::)
Please dont loose those rose tinted specs, they're quaint ;)

Senators don't rev the same for a given speed either  8-) (shades will have to do, I've put the rose tinted down somewhere  ;))

Having put a std Omega up against a similar mileage Senator, the Omega was quicker, despite a high rpm hesitation and a HG failure doing no favours to cooling......

You were in the Senator? No wonder it was slower!  ::) :y

Had its ups and downs but, think M9, Dunblane to Edinburgh, circa 31 miles or so.  Better part of that was at diddlydump leptons.....

And the RegNo was H98LFS.....
