I paid in the region of £1850 for my CDX. I sold it to JamesV6CDX for £1250 12 months later, along with repair/maintenance bills for £1100.

It's called omega ownership, and we love it. ;D

Not with a 4 pot...... :D :D :D

Don't count on it Vamps! I'm rapidly getting closer to that figure :( I have never had a car like this one, fix something & two new problems crop up, fix those & 3 newer ones rear their ugly head! :o I really love this old girl, indeed i've never been so attached to a car before, but the 2.2 appears to be a very problematic motor car to say the least!!! :-? :-/ :-X

I might have spend a little over that, but over 10 years..... :y Not counting service items etc in that, mostly been sorting out sensors but once done.... :)

2 x 2.0L Estates, first one a 1995 bought in 2000 and had it for 7 years, second a 1998 Estate, bought in 2007 blind off ebay and had it delivered....... :y :y

Got to get the Cam Belt done in the summer holidays though, more expence..... :'( :'(

Now just need another one ::) ::) ::)

Well I can honestly say hand on heart, that mine is a joy to drive, and as comfortable a car as you could ever want, it is also giving me a Degree in Automotive Engineering, and high blood pressure  :D, so when it finally leaves my ownership it will not be replaced by another  :(

I'm at the other end of the expense spectrum(at the moment) My car cost £350 and I have spent about £80 so to keep it running(excluding insurance tax and mot)
Now that I have said that it will all end up in a ball of flames knowing my luck. :-X

So what else would you get? I have driven over 80 Miles looking at cars today, 3 Omegas, only 1 decent, lpg one absolute garbage and they want £2495 :o :o

I do not want a Merc or BMW looked at a range of dealers today including some place in Darlington doing a 96 hour special deal on all cars ::) I want an Auto, I seem to have increased my budget by 100% and am still unsure of what I want. Looks like if I cant find a Mig then Vectra or Mitsubishi Colt, auto diesel, see what tomorrow brings....... ::) ::) ::)

Dunno who it is, but somebody's signature line says: "all Omegas are a work-in-progress"

Just about sums it up perfectly,( for me any rate.) but you just gotta love it.
