I see no difference between MP3 and shop bought CD in quality for everyday use.

Hooked up to some decent speakers on the computer i listen to many MP3 albums.

As stated for car use, you cant notice with the noise when travelling.. :y

In the car, no problem really. In the home, even 320k MP3 shows its defficiencies.

Well i have had some but only a few that quality has been an issue, Ive played Eva Cassidy MP3 through the computer and Harman Kardon speakers, quality perfect even at 128k.

Eva Cassidy"s voice is pitch perfect and i see no drop in quality at all.. Maybe i have good MP3"s.

They suit me anyway.. :y

Thats all that matters :y

MP3 is an older compression technology. Although the encoders make a huge difference, the format still loses too much quality, even at 320k...

I don't even have a home stereo at the moment, but I notice a lot more difference in how well an album is mastered than between CD and AAC (I use an iPod and iTunes but all of my music is from CD's).  Funnily enough some of my 80's CD's sound a lot better than most of the new stuff.

Yeah that too!  No really, even James Blunt's album isn't that well mastered.

I buy CD SACD DVD-A from Play and CD-WOW.

I try to avoid music CD ROMs as one of my players cannot handle it
cd-wow still going - thought they got knobbled for using cheaper, non UK discs?

They are still going, I would rather they got my money than the turds who are prosecuting them

Well I am happy with my long searched for purchase, and have yet to watch the DVD that came with it, 2 cd's, 1 dvd, disc 1 one of the two music discs is the better one as disc two is noticeably void of Roy Orbison as he had departed this world by the time the 2nd album was made.

And whilst it may not be one of the best to 10 albums ever made is one of the best 100 albums ever made, and all for the sake of B side single song, Oh and yes tweeter and the monkeyman, pure class :y
