Wheel baring supplier?
« on: 22 August 2010, 09:59:52 »

For the front, need both sides, gm ones are a bit steep even on tc, any particular make or supplier?
Presumably get the whole unit? I don't fancy fiddling around pressing in barings.

Had a quick look at buypartsbuy, 47+ a side in the hub, but does not say what make, got some from firstline once and they went loose to over a mill after a couple of weeks...which seemed bad although I didn't know about nipping up the centre nut back then, I thought it was a case of tighten to 320nm(or what ever the correct setting is) and that's that.

I've nipped up the drivers side twice now and still the play returns, it's knocking/cluncking over large bumps, and it's not drop links, track rods or bottom ball joint as wishbones are now new, no play in the old wishbone knuckle anyway.

Yes, they do a Conti one, not on their web site, about £10 cheaper.
