How many motor sport events did the 2CV win  ;D
[/highlight]hahahaha

so any pics of this saxo/omega in progress?

Some years ago, and I can not remember which race track, there was some 2cv racing, I remember it as great entertainment. Typically of french cars of the day the did tend to lean somewhat in the corners... :D :D :D

Small RWD cars are brilliant fun, like go carts :y :y

:o No, that would be FWD as in Mini, show me a same size car in rwd that will beat it, in standard spec, is there one?? ::) ::) ::)

Smart Roadster in Brabus flavour :y  :y  :y

lotus talbot sunbeam, vauxhall chevette! fwd is only used cos its cheap to manufacture, and more passenger room because of no transmition tunnel, and they are "safer" to drive for people who can't drive properly because they understear!  ;D

actually, thinking about it, the Mini must be just about the worst FWD ever designed......

too small
too costly
slow
ugly
made a loss on every one sold
poor economy
very poor comfort
unreliable

beaten by even the humble 2CV on every front

I totaly agree and after 40 years they still hand brazed the rear panels on.

Classis example of why we have no car ineustry, great car in its day that not changed 40 years later

Great little saxo project though

I am interested in your project, I have often thought how funny it would be to stick a 3.0 in a mini.

Upload us some pics.  :y

This was my first car. Its top speed varied between 80 and 100. The speedo used to bounce all over the place ;D ;D

A great car to have fun in. Unfortunately I had to send it to the scrapman in the sky :'(

I was braking hard one day and the whole front end(wings, bonnet etc) lifted up :( :( :(

It was completely rotten. I have great memories of that little car 8-)

Many years ago I had a plan to put a V6/V8 into the back of a Mini Van, with little on the outside to show the difference, Oh how we dream...... ::) ::)

The other idea we had was to 'Savage' an Anglia and stick all the 'I love Blackpool' etc type stickers in the back window, so that it looked stock.... ;D ;D

'Savaged' a couple of Cortina's though.... :y :y :y

You would be better off with a 3.0 as its not to hard with a custom install to get it upto 230-240 bhp.

But the V6 is not a particularly heavy engine. And the rear wheel drive setup would probbly give a more balanced. Car.

You haev to host the pics at a hosting site like photobucket and then post the links.

If going 3.0 cams then make sure you use the 3.0 inlet manifold and base.
