Skoda ECU
« on: 15 September 2010, 22:01:05 »

I have just received a message from my brother.
His Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI Elegance(I think) was running rough, so the garage have spent the last two days changing everything to fix it, they have finally decided the engine ECU is faulty.

Guesses on how much????????

I was shocked :'( :'( :'(

Price for just the ECU and labour to replace it?

I'd guess the ECU would be around £300-£400.  Labour would be an hour, so anything between £50 and £75.

What do I win?  ;D

I am assuming the price he quoted was for labour(main dealer prices) as well.

Total cost = £1283  :o :( >:( :'(
My brother has offered you the chance to pay half the bill as a special prize ;D ;D

These are crazy prices, I offered to sell him my Omega which is in excellent condition for £1200 which would save him £83 :D :D :D
