Acceleration Times of a 2.5TD Auto Saloon
« on: 02 October 2010, 14:33:21 »

Hey guys, ive been timing my acceleration in sports mode from 0-30mph with a foot on the gas and the brake at the same time and then start the clock when release the brake and i average around 4.8 seconds to 30mph, does anyone else have any figures for their acceleration in a 2.5td auto so i can compare, and do you have any for 0-60mph, im gonna try that and see what it is soon, thanks

Don't worry about it. I'm sure someone will give you a few tips on how to get it up to average, at least.   :y

I've no idea, never tested it.   I was just teasing you.   ;)

There was a thread not so long ago, where one member tested his and got 60 in 5.9sec but I think that could've been a petrol.

Nah, couple of little mods.  ;D

Although,SR-71 Blackbird's figures are not to be sniffed at. Wikipedia gives 0-60 in 11.6sec.

So big  :y  to him.

My chipped tractor auto, best I could ever manage (unscientifically) was a shade over 9s. It was difficult to launch start it, and maintain some form of traction.

When I get my chip I'll do a before and after.

Just for the records.
