Another pending MOT nail-biter!
« on: 01 October 2010, 16:07:22 »

Mine! I had originally booked in a 52 plate (which I will soon be selling as I hate it) for 8:30am tomorrow (Saturday). But adjusting the handbrake earlier found a broken rear spring so now that can wait till Monday!

So mine is going in instead! So far I've changed:-

Steering idler a couple of months ago
Both full track rod ends also a couple of months ago.
Both rear springs last weekend.
Both wishbones yesterday.
Both drop links yesterday.

Been out in the pouring rain today removing the pepperpot zorst and as usual both bolts connecting the cat to the centre section sheared despite 3 days of plusgassing  >:( So off came the cat, it's now clamped to the bench at work so I can drill then out and fit ordinary bolts. I just hope that the rain stops because I have to re-fit the exhaust tonight ready for the morning.

So fingers crossed :y

Are you not expecting it to go through okay ?.

As your sounding more jittery than an expectant father at a maternity ward.  :-?  ::)

I'm guessing that the springs you had off me have held out okay so far then ?.

So I take it if there's a reply with just this " >:(" across the page it isn't good news then  :-? .

Can't see there being anything to fail on, as you know your Migs inside out - good luck :y

Well..... Tried a new test station this time as I've got the 2 cars to do. I know the tester but never used him before, turns out he is cheaper and far more reliable than the guy I've used for the last 5 or 6 years so I shall be using this one from now on.

I'm officially out of finger nails but I'm good for another 12 months!!!! One advisory on a slightly corroded brake pipe (NSR as it passes the spring).

Many thanks for all the well wishes folks :y

I'm pleased to hear it passed Lee  :y
You do so much work on other people's vehicles, it must get a chore to do your own. But I'm glad it passed.

I just don't bother, unless it breaks, then go into full panic mode at MOT time ;D ;D
