This is where we find out that its a '70s Rolls-Royce, or something and definitely worth 100quid!

Cant really imagine what state a car would have to be in to NOT be worth the money. (my local scrappy's offering 125 for any car, for example)

who's the legal owner and/or registered keeper of the vehicle?

who is responsible for the vehicle? ie, who is sorning it?

although you're in posession of documents, if this car is gonna bring any aggro, i'd say have nothing to do with it, and return the documents to the owner upon their release

But it doesn't cost 50 quid to deliver to the scrappy. They'll collect it. Then give you 125 quid. Hence why I said ''my local scrappy's offering 125 for any car''

Because they are.  :D :D

DON'T like the sound of the fact that he won't even tell you where the motor is, Red Baron. I'm with Mr. Barge Pole on this!!! Unless things get a bit more legit you can't go giving people money for the promise of something. Unless you're in Amsterdam at the time. Then it's fine.

So long as you DEFINITELY will get the car after money has changed hands. Dont want to see you get ripped off, Red Baron.

You could always come after him with one of these, though...

Sounds dodgy to me.
