who's the legal owner and/or registered keeper of the vehicle?
*he has passed ownership to me via letter.
*i have the v5 with his signature ready to put in my name.

who is responsible for the vehicle? ie, who is sorning it?
*tax ran out end august, dont know its status as yet. must check online.
although you're in posession of documents, if this car is gonna bring any aggro, i'd say have nothing to do with it, and return the documents to the owner upon their release

its a 99 110 landrover defender full of tools.
