Prins LPG system...
« on: 25 October 2010, 23:38:35 »

....second hand, yeah I know , not ideal but....

Prinz front end kit,  keihin Injectors, 80liter stako cylinder tank(think we are familiar with that)
Currently fitted to another 3.2, so I guess someone has done some maths re bhp for that engine and the kit is suitable, it was a professional install but not sure by who...

Intend to have a look at the kit later but mean time any thoughts? Specifically the prinz front end kit and injectors... Anyone?

They do indeed. A good looking site. Rare in the LPG field, IMO.

Chris, I believe Prinz are the 'Rolls Royce' of LPG systems & very well supported here in the UK. :y
As for 'Professionally' installed, that's a moot point as we all know! ::) but the hardware is good quality stuff ;)

I'll take it off your hands for 50p, you know it is worth no more.

My 2.5 V6 has a Prinz system and I can't fault it.  It's my first LPG car and I bought it already fitted.  It was fitted at around 50000 and I bought it 4 years ago at around 140000 and its about to tip 200000.

I had it serviced by the local Prinz dealer a year or so ago, but have had no trouble with it.  I've disconnected it a couple of times to do the cam cover gaskets and the thermostat and it seems to take a few start ups after to work normally again but then no trouble.

In short highly recommended!! :y

Sorry... Not been on for a while!

Prins kits are superb but... You'll struggle to get the software, or more to the point the dongle, to be able to calibrate and adjust things ;)

well, having missed this particular kit going cheap i've been phoning round. Main importers a choclate fairy, refusing to cooperate and now being obstructive at best. They wont sell unless its to an approved installer and they wont sell unless they install it it seems, i've several calls to make yet but its not looking good. Jobs for the boys rings a bell, but we'll see, early days yet....

....but re the dongle, if itsawkward gettingthe kit itself, i fully understand the dongle issue, dealers only i guess?

Not with Prins... His kit has undercut them by a huge amount! ;) ;) ::) ::)

But that reminds me... It's about time I rang him and badgered him again ::) ::)

Would be good to know if he's any closer to offering some form of UKLPG ticket, just in case this database nonsense has any traction with insurance companies (which I doubt). :y

That's partly why I need to chase him... Also want him to try and tune out the lag (as he's sure it should be possible) so I can sort the others :y :y
