I liked bike gearboxes - they were good.

Sequential with wet multiplate clutches

I did some research - I found a gearbox of the same make for sale, secondhand, for £6500 .. I can't even find a price for the electro-hydraulic shift unit, so I suspect it's "if you have to ask" ..

Oh well.. dreams!

The originator (from Northampton Motorsport) reckoned 10k for the box plus 6k for the flat shift unit. I'm clearly in the wrong job. ::)

I guessed about right then (I figured about £6.5k for the shifter, based on the price of the s/hand box) ..

*eyes bank balance*

Well.. I could get part of the way there, wonder if they'll take instalments? ;D
