You say temp is normal when driving i.e. rad is doing it's job.
Overheats when stationary i.e fans or pump are not doing their job.

I dont know how a new radiator will make any difference - I havent bought one?

The temp sits around 90 - 92 degrees, and recently has started rising to 97 and then dropping again.  Plus the cold heater now.

And,  I hope someone more senior will step in and give thier opinion as I don't want to mention the p$&p again as you've done that.
