Senator B Transmission Question
« on: 08 December 2010, 18:40:52 »

Hi Guys and Girls,

Can an AR25/AR35 from an Omega fit into a 1992 Senator B 3.0 24v?

I gather it will bolt into place, but the electronics are very different.  Am I right in this, and if so, how much work is involved in replacing the ECU etc.

Would it be easier to just get the knackered transmission reconditioned?

Thanks for your responses!  :y

GOD I HATE SLUDGE PUMPS!!
however the senny one has just one multiplug to connect to its electrics, the omega box has 2 however one of them takes the place of the senny dipstick, if you have the 2 boxes side by side it may be possible to swap the relevent parts over?

The bell housing pattern on an Omega is different to that of a Senator.
The Omega bolt pattern is of the family 2 type, except for the BMW lump and the Senator is a CIH engine

If you can swap the bell housing then it might fit but electrics might be a problem

the stuff inside the box is the same.

the electrics are the same, just connected in a different way

the bellhousing is different, but will move from one to the other
