should be ok check rear wings and boot bottom, and front wheel areas if they fine its a gooden, oil leaks are fame on them usly on the sump, run enging and listern to it idle if stedy should be ok, but change cam belt if you get it.

thanks mate  just got to decide if i want to swap my omega for it   want to try and cut some costs  the insurance alone would be half what im paying for the omega and would be better on fuel   only problem is i love my omega ::)

agreed .  the omega is a good car  i like astras but not sure it would compare to my omega  im having a look at the astra on the 27th  so will see how it drives

Mk4, so an Astra G?

No real issues witht hem, fully galved so body not an issue (unless its been repaired).

Front brake pipes need greasing as they rot where they pass by the front subframe.

Early ones could have PAS issues, fixed around 2001.

Engines are pretty good if serviced (like any!)

Pretty well screwed together, quite sure footed (and easy to improve)

cheers mark   decided to keep the omega  i cant part with it just yet  spent loads on it recently  and it runs purfect  dont want to take the chance of getting a car that may have problems :y
