dont take much to bend em and not noticable by quick inspection.

TBH, last time I had front tyres worn down to the wear indicators I was convinced something was wrong. New tyres and it was fine. Also, if that wear has accumulated over the age of the tyre I wouldn't regard it as a problem. It's when there's 5mm of tread left on the rest of the tyre that I'd worry.

Be interesting to see what WIM say.
