I wouldn't dare say anything Ken  :D  :D
I assume the Skoda is dead? I.e. won't start and drive. If it had an MOT, I could use my trade plates and drive the vehicle for you using my trade insurance.
I rarely have the need to use trailers, but I can ask around as I'm local to you.

Actually, that's quite interesting and a good project to cut your teeth on, although I think that you may be a little more experienced than that :-/ :-/

I'm interested too. My cousin has a Porsche 356 replica based on an Estelle (great name for tottie, sh1te name for a car) anyway, I think he'd be interested in how the K series conversion was done. Potential for making it a bit more nippy. 8-)

Incidentally, on the trailor front, try Indespension or any other rental place... Probably about £40/day

The head problem was mainly the 1.4 8V or a bodged 1.6, Caterham Cars have used the 1.6 16V for a long time with no problems and are really tunable up to 220 if done right, I'm going to run Suzuki 1200 Bandit 36mm Mikuni carbs .  :y

No sorry joking a part try indispension but make sure that the tow car is a jeep or a van or they won't let you take it

I've witnessed one make 253BHP@9,000 RPM.  ;D That was an expensive engine to build, but consider the power to weight ratio.

Plenty of other mates I tour with have Caterhams with them and, after a few HGFs in the early days, making them bomb  proof is now straightforward and I can't remember the last time we had to strip a K series in a hotel car park. (it used to be commonplace!).
